On the afternoon of March 22, Vice President Yao Zhenjun was invited to deliver a special report on “Research on Hot Issues and Work Suggestions in the Process of Carbon Peak and Carbon neutrality” for the Hebei Department of Ecology and Environment Rotation Training on the Study and Implementation of the Spirit of 20th CPC National Congress (the fourth session), which was held by the Party School of the Working Committee of Hebei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China.

The report elaborated on six aspects, which are the background of global response to climate change, the proposal of China’s dual-carbon target, the policy support of China’s dual-carbon transformation, the path exploration of China’s dual-carbon transformation, the theory and practice of carbon emission trading and working suggestions. The report explained in depth the policy of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality at home and abroad, the technology and path selection of dual-carbon transformation in various industries, the latest progress of carbon market and carbon finance, and put forward some working suggestions for the realization of the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in Hebei Province. The report from the point to the surface, from the superficial to the profound, made the students in the rotation training class have a more comprehensive and deeper understanding of the hot issues of carbon peak and carbon neutrality at home and abroad.
