In the afternoon of March 29, Vice President Yao Zhenjun was invited to participate in the “Carbon Peaking” and “carbon neutrality” knowledge training for government officers of Shijiazhuang Municipal Party Committee Office and other organs, and made a special report on “Research and suggestions on hot issues in promoting carbon peaking and carbon neutrality ".

In the report, Yao Zhenjun mainly expounded Xi Jinping’s thought of ecological civilization, the context for China’s proposal of “dual carbon target”, policy support and path exploration for the “dual carbon” transformation and theories and practice of carbon trading and carbon finance, and put forward constructive suggestions on achieving the “carbon dual” target by Shijiazhuang in terms of the formulation and implementation corresponding policies. Besides, he also elaborated on our school’s communication of dual carbon policy, technological breakthrough and talent cultivation, and claimed that the school will be committed to providing long-term scientific and technological support and talent supply for the realization of our city’s carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goal.

After the report, officials of Shijiazhuang Municipal Party Committee Office and other organs expressed their appreciation for Yao Zhenjun’s comprehensive and systematic report, which they believed was highly instructive and enlightening to the realization of the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in Shijiazhuang.This report is a demonstration of the achievements of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Dual Carbon Research Center of Shijiazhuang University, and also a practical action to promote the implementation of the school’s “1396” development strategy and provide high-quality and efficient comprehensive services of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality for the local community. In the future, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Dual Carbon Research Center of Shijiazhuang University will continue to provide comprehensive and multi-level thematic training based on international trends, national strategies, and coordinated development plan for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, making outstanding contributions to promoting the comprehensive green transformation of the economy and society of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
