Recently, the Department of Education of Hebei Province announced the list of recommended candidates for the “National Grassroots Employment Excellence Award for College Graduates” of Hebei Province, and Zhao Hua, a 2014 outstanding graduate of our university, was successfully selected.

Zhao Hua is a 2014 graduate of the School of Journalism and Media, majoring in Radio and Television Journalism, and has founded 10 enterprises including Cangzhou Duozhicai Digital Media Co., Ltd., paying over 1 million yuan in taxes and creating more than 400 jobs. From 2012 to now, he has volunteered to lead villagers in organizing “Village Evening” in multiple towns in Cangxian County, Hebei Province for 11 consecutive years, using the knowledge to repay his hometown. He is known as the first person to run Village Evening by college students, and his advanced deeds have been reported by more than 30 media and government platforms in the central government and many provinces and cities, and the number of forwarding and reading exceeds 5 million. The “New Rural Public Welfare Village Evening” has been listed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as a national “Village Evening” demonstration activity in 2022.

The “National Grassroots Employment Excellence Award for College Graduates” is a program jointly directed by the Department of College Students of the Ministry of Education and the Student Services and Quality Development Center of the Ministry of Education, funded by China Yangtze River Three Gorges Group and established by the China Education Development Foundation. It rewards ordinary college graduates who have made outstanding achievements in grassroots employment and teachers who have made outstanding contributions to guiding and serving college students in grassroots employment. It is selected once a year. Each winner will receive a reward of 30,000 yuan.

In recent years, the university attaches great importance to the selection of typical graduates and actively participates in various national, provincial and municipal activities to select outstanding graduates. Department of Students Affairs, together with second-level schools, selects dozens of typical employment and entrepreneurship candidates each year, and publicizes them in the university and second-level schools respectively, calling on students to learn from these outstanding graduates and their successful experience, which effectively promotes the high-quality employment of graduates.
